The Pike (Past its Peak) is a documentary photography book published in 1982 by SCB Photographics. It remains the only true fine art book about the famous Long Beach Pike. It is 8" X 10" in size, has 64 pages and contains 47 photographs in color and B&W. The book is saddle stitched and perfect bound. It contains very little text and is primarily a photographic impression by the author of the final years of a declining landmark. The book can be found selling on the Internet and in rare / collectible bookstores for between $200 and $1200. Brand new 1st edition copies of this book are available in very limited quantities only from Proteus Workshop, while supplies last.
